THE BAKE BOX INITIATIVE
A simple way to Bake a Difference.
The Bake Box Initiative is an easy and meaningful way for schools, companies, and communities to help children fighting cancer.
By collecting baking ingredients, you are helping our incredible volunteer bakers, lovingly known as Cupcake Angels, bake thousands of cupcakes that raise vital funds for children and families supported by Cupcakes of Hope.
Every bag of flour, bottle of oil, or packet of sprinkles donated helps turn kindness into hope.
How it Works
- Register your school or company to take part.
- Receive your Bake Box Starter Pack, including a printable Bake Box poster, collection guidelines, and a list of suggested baking ingredients.
- Place the poster on your own collection box and encourage learners or employees to donate baking ingredients over a set period.
- Once your Bake Box is full, simply let us know! Cupcakes of Hope (or local volunteers) will arrange collection and distribute the ingredients to Cupcake Angels in your area to support local fundraising events.
- Our Cupcake Angels use these ingredients to bake delicious cupcakes for fundraising events such as National Cupcake Day, Golf Days, Corporate Events, and Parties of Hope.
The funds raised help provide practical and financial support to children fighting cancer, including medical shortfalls, prosthetic limbs, prosthetic eyes, wheelchairs, nutritional support, transport to treatment, and so much more.
What Can You Donate?
We welcome donations of unopened baking ingredients.
Please note: All donated items must have an expiry date of at least two months from the collection date.
Suggested donations include:
- Cake flour or Cupcake Mix
- Cocoa powder
- Cooking oil
- Icing sugar or caster sugar
- Caramel Treat / Caramel Condensed Milk
- Sprinkles and sweets for decorating cupcakes, such as Smarties, M&M’s, Gummy Bears, Marshmallows, and similar treats
