The secret to making perfect cupcakes in an air fryer is to use silicone or foil cupcake cases. The strong airflow in the air fryer can otherwise cause your cupcakes to distort so don’t be tempted to skip this step.

This genius frosting recipe is easy to whip up and tastes delicious too! Turn it into virtually any flavour by adding cocoa powder, peanut butter, caramel, fruit puree or flavour extracts.

Better known as Ermine, roux or flour buttercream, this delicious frosting is made using a cooked pudding mixture which adds creaminess, reduces the sugar content and is a great budget-saving way of bulking up frosting, too!

This moist and fluffy cupcake recipe uses much less sugar than the average cupcake recipe. If you’d like to reduce the sugar content even further, replace some or even all of the sugar with a sugar replacer such as xylitol.
