Valentine’s Day was extra meaningful this year as our team delivered 600 Valentine’s Care Bags to 21 paediatric oncology wards across South Africa, spreading much-needed love, smiles, and hope to children fighting cancer.
Each care bag was thoughtfully packed with:
- Fresh fruit for a healthy treat
- A beautiful Butterfly colouring book with pencils to spark creativity
- A packet of jelly beans paired with our Jelly Bean Prayer activity page, teaching hope and faith through colour
- A printable photo frame for a treasured memory
- A soft, pocket-sized teddy bear for extra comfort
- And the cutest heart-shaped glasses — which were an absolute hit with everyone! Even some of the doctors wanted a pair (and yes, we made sure they got some too!)
These small but meaningful gifts brought so much joy and laughter, turning an ordinary day in the hospital into something truly special. The care bags served as a reminder to every child — and every caregiver — that they are loved, supported, and never alone.
Thank you to everyone who helped us share love in action this Valentine’s Day.
