Our Annual 3D Cupcake Topper Challenge 2023 is just around the corner, and we want YOU to get involved! You can help us create stunning 3D cupcake toppers for our national cupcake fundraiser. Here’s some more info on the challenge:
What is a cupcake topper?
It is a disc of fondant or chocolate with a fun, creative design that is placed onto a cupcake to make it pretty!
Do I need to be a professional baker?
Not at all! Anyone who can join – even children.
When does it start?
The challenge starts on 1 April but you can join anytime.
How does it work?
Each Tuesday we will give everyone a theme and tutorials on how to make the toppers.
You will have 1 week to complete 12 toppers that match the theme.
You can do this from the comfort of your home or make a coffee date with friends, family or colleagues and get creative together!
Once you’ve completed your toppers, take a photo of all 12 toppers and upload it to the Facebook group.
To qualify for the prize, you must complete 12 three-dimensional toppers each week for the 15-week period.
Important info about the toppers:
All toppers must be on a disc maximum of 5.5cm in diameter and not higher than 7cm, not heavier than 40g.
The entire topper must be fully edible so please no wire or toothpicks allowed.
What do I do with the toppers?
Let us know and we will allocate a drop-off place.
The toppers will then be used to decorate cupcakes at our National Cupcake Day fundraiser later this year.
