Kgosi is just four years old — and he’s already faced more battles than most of us will in a lifetime.
This brave little boy has been fighting leukemia for nearly three years. His days have been filled with hospital visits, blood tests, and chemotherapy instead of playgrounds, parties, and preschool. Despite it all, Kgosi remains full of life and dreams — he absolutely loves toy cars and dreams of one day becoming a pilot.
But just as his family was hoping to turn a corner… the cancer came back.
Earlier this year, Kgosi’s leukemia relapsed, shattering his family’s hope of finally moving forward. Now, he urgently needs a life-saving chemotherapy drug called Erwinase — a medication not available in public hospitals and not covered by state healthcare.
Without it, Kgosi’s treatment options are severely limited, and his chances of surviving this relapse drop drastically.
The cost of Erwinase is R150,000 — a nearly impossible sum for most families, especially while also carrying the emotional and financial burden of years of cancer treatment.
That’s why we’re launching this urgent appeal to help Kgosi access the treatment he needs.
June is Cancer Survivors Month, a time when we celebrate those who have beaten cancer and honor those still fighting. What better way to mark this powerful month than by giving a courageous child the chance to survive — and thrive.
Our goal is to raise the full R150,000 by 30 June 2025, and we can’t do it without you.
