Wow, you made this all possible…

Dear Cupcake Angels

We are so excited to share this beautiful room makeover we did in honor of Chiara Valle, a precious little three-year-old who will forever be in our hearts.

Chiara’s journey with Neuroblastoma cancer inspired us to help other children in the same situation and in 2012 we registered Cupcakes of HOPE as a nonprofit organization. We are so blessed to be able to assist over 100 little patients every month by paying for their medical and day-to-day expenses.

We are so honored that Cupcakes of HOPE could play a part in this MAGICAL room make over. Dr Tanya wanted the room to look like a magical forest and have the children feel that they have escaped to some where beautiful.

With the help from Irene Kyriacou and her awesome team, we transformed this room, added a new play wall, library corner, and created a ‘Feelings & Emoji’ headboard for the kids to express their feelings. A new kitchenette was also added with a fridge, microwave, kettle, and toaster.

We also donated iPads for each bed, so the kids can have some fun while receiving treatment in the hospital.

Feedback from some of the families:

Lehakoe’s mom: “The room makeover is such a well-deserved escape from our current situation, when we get to the room although we are faced with tough predicaments we get to escape to an enchanted forest! Thank you Cupcakes of HOPE for this amazing gesture.”

Oliver’s mom: “Wow! Such an awesome place to stay where the kids have a place away from home. Not to mention that the parents have comfy mattresses and scenic view to suppress their already worried minds about their children that have to endure these treatments. The added Kitchen also just makes it so much more easier to warm foods up and keep our kiddies happy.”

Mnotho’s mom: “Thank you for the amazing redecoration of the room, the kids are much happier and are distracted from what is actually happening to them. They are always looking forward to coming to the hospital now, we appreciate you for taking the time to design what kids actually love, all thanks to Cupcakes of HOPE and our special doctor, Doctor Tanya.”

Erin’s mom: Dear COH, thank you so much for the beautiful room you did at Clinton Hospital. Erin loves the room, it feels less hospital and cozier and being able to do our own thing in the kitchenette, it makes such a difference! Warm toast and tea have never tasted so good!
